Siem Reap, like most Southeast Asian cities, is not short on delicious food. But Spoons Café, operated by the non-profit group EGBOK, is dishing out meals with a difference. The restaurant has been garnering rave reviews for its elevated Cambodian cuisine, which infuses local street food and home style dishes with western influences.
But delicious meals aside, the organisers are also helping educate the Cambodian youth by providing them a training ground to help them gain hospitality experience.
Everything about Spoons Café is holistic in nature, right from its structure made with sustainable bamboo to its locally sourced ingredients.
Open Tuesdays to Sundays, 11.30am to 10.00pm, egbokmission.org/spoons
